"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body," 1 Cor. 6:19-20

A temple, a holy place, a church, a place where God "lives", that is how God describes caring for our bodies. When we go to church do we write on the walls, and fill it with junk? Do we track our muddy feet in, and let it fall apart? No we take care of the church, we dress nicely, we keep it clean and keeping things working properly to Honor God. The same goes for our bodies…..out of respect and honor for the God who bought us for a price, we are to care for the bodies where God lives. Part of caring for our bodies is eating right and exercising. It is not selfish or vain to care for your body, it is biblical, it is what God has told us to do.
